About Me:

A new semester and I am still seeking a full time position. I had the opportunity to take a full time position with an institution where I taught Algebra (based on my background in science and statistics…go figure) this summer, but I didn’t like the institution’s attitude towards students. So…I am an adjunct instructor teaching two sections of Comp I at Johnson County Community College (a suburban campus) as well as two sections of Comp I and one section of Basic Writing II at MCC Penn Valley (an urban campus). I am in an adjunct certification program at JCCC and getting certified to teach online classes at JCCC using Blackboard (two Master’s degrees, but still getting certified…no comment). As my former students know, I have avoided Blackboard/WebCT for years, but I now think the system is inevitable. In general, I am doing well and riding the waves of fate.
